How the maths works

Reconstitution is simple division. The concentration is the peptide amount divided by the volume of water you add:

concentration (mg/mL) = peptide (mg) ÷ water (mL)

To find the volume for a dose, divide the dose by the concentration. Then, because a U-100 insulin syringe has 100 units per millilitre, multiply millilitres by 100 to get units:

units = (dose ÷ concentration) × 100

That’s the whole calculation. There is no judgement, recommendation, or safety assessment built into it, it only rearranges the numbers you type in.
